Fibromyalgia and Vitamin E

You will find many articles, forums, and blogs on Fibromyalgia and Vitamin E.  Fibromyalgia affects different organs so being heart healthy is really important.

To understand how Vitamin E has an impact on Fibro it would be good to understand what it does.

Vitamin E is found in many vegetable oils, cereals, meat, poultry, eggs, fruits, vegetables, and wheat germ oil.  Some use Vitamin E for the following:

  • Preventing diseases of the heart and blood vessels
  • Heart attack
  • Leg Pain
  • Chest pain
  • High blood pressure
  • Increase energy levels
  • Reduce muscle damage after exercise
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Helps balance cholesterol

Here are some foods that contain Vitamin E:

  • Sunflower seeds
  • Almonds
  • Hazelnuts
  • Wheat germ
  • Mango
  • Avocado
  • Butternut squash
  • Broccoli
  • Spinach
  • Kiwi
  • Tomato

Not everyone that has Fibro has to take a Vitamin E supplement.  This is one supplement that you need to discuss with your doctor before taking.
