Well, there’s a totally easy hack for that: Simply fill a bowl with cold water and drop one in. If it sinks to the bottom, it’s still good (yay!), but if it floats to the top, that means it’s time to throw it out. (According to theUSDA, when eggs are on the older side, they have more air in them, which makes them float.) Hopefully, you’ll have one yummy omelettecoming right up.
